World Map There are three continents on the planet Gaia; Tellah, Garland, and Baldesion. The planet is rather cold in general but the continent of Tellah and the northern half of Garland are more temperate due to their proximity to the equator. Tellah is the largest hospitable landmass and therefore possesses the majority of natural resources. The continent of Baldesion is much further north and therefore has a harsh polar climate. The influence of the two other continents has reached Baldesion but no major explorations have been attempted. The land is for the most part uncharted and the Nu Mou that hail from that place are considered to be uncivilized.

Tellah Overview The Roleplay is set predominantly on the continent of Tellah. Tellah's climate is broken into three predominant regions. Centra on the eastern side of the continent has a dry temperate climate and mostly flat terrain, while the Westerlands remain temperate but with higher humidity levels as well as foothills and the beginnings of mountain ranges. The Northerlands are a cold region with heavy precipitation and high peaks. The Northerlands Hnifs. Much of central Hnifs boasts large mountains and difficult terrain with caves and caverns, many unexplored by man. Much of the population lives closer to the coastlines, particularly on the eastern coastline where trade is done with Asvalagia. The coastal lowlands are covered in thick forestry and dotted with foothills that people often carve their homes out of. Winbia considers Hnifs to be under its dominion, but the people of Hnifs have never recognized their rule.
Winbia. Winbia is often considered to be the "Gate of the North" and is a small city-state that claims dominion over Hnifs. In practice, only the area on the map that is marked as Winbia truly fall under their power. Winbia expansion halted with the arrival of the Empire, fearing losing their own independence they've worked to shore up their defenses. Boasting one of the stronger militaries in the Tellah Alliance, Winbia keeps the empire from moving in on itself and Hnifs but doesn't seem interested in helping to drive them out of the Westerlands. Winbia itself features walled fortifications and the majority of the city itself rests within the mountains.
Asvalagia. Asvalagia has long been considered Tellah's cultural capitol, even before Ocrythia fell under imperial control. Its centerpiece is the Temple of Aeons, where the head of Tellah's church unifies its people in the belief that Aeons are holy beings and that magic is a gift that they unlock in humans. Dwarfing the rebel forces of Winbia, Asvalagia's forces keep the empire driven away from their lands and push aid to the Westerlands. The empire sees Asvalagia as the Tellah Alliance's biggest propaganda machine. Most controversial was the church claiming that the Aeon that recently destroyed the Imperial City of Garland was an act of retribution brought on by the gods.
Cold with its own range of mountains and patches of icy flows, the southern ranges are dense heading towards Centra which provide natural protection from the Empire's land forces. The valleys become more forgiving in the southwest near the borders to the Westerlands. The Westerlands Norania. Norania is a smaller state and a highland that begins to kiss the mountain ranges of the Northerlands. It is hilly and its climate tends to be on the cold side of temperate. In the winter it is typically blanketed in snow, but in the spring time water gets trapped in various low points of the valley making it into something of a wetland. Serious flooding doesn't occur, as the excess runs off down the valley into Venteparia.
Shepherds and other nomads often enjoy Norania in the springtime and travel south in the winter. There are a few cities built upon the hilltops as well, and the regional leaders are known to be friendly to accepting refugees. Norania's own forces are relatively weak and their neighbors in Winbia to the north are reluctant to send help, making many fear that the Empire will one day get a foothold on the state.
Venteparia. [Disputed Territory] Venteparia is the current battleground for Tellah's soul. It is one of the most populous regions in Tellah, with small scattered villages of farmers living along the rivers of the lowland that supply much of the continent with food for trade. Separated from the Imperial controlled Centra by a mountain range, Garland's biggest influence over the region is along the coast of the bay in the southwest of the state where it is easiest supplied. They control Venteparia City along the bay, but attempts to expand deeper into the country never last long due to rebel interference.
As a temperate lowland with heavy precipitation, the state is known to suffer from flooding in the spring. Venteparia is the most truly temperate land on Tellah, experience all four seasons more typically than anywhere else. Centra Birkendernia. [Occupied Territory] Birkendernia is cutoff from rainfall by mountains along its western border, and is the driest of the states of Tellah. The Empire found little resistance taking these lands outside of interference of a few nomadic clans. With little cloud cover it is hotter than most other places during the day, but isn't as hot as some of the deserts on other continents. In the nighttime, Birkendernia is known for reaching extreme cold temperatures that rival that of the Northerlands.
Due to the lack of natural resources and less interest from the people, Birkendernia houses the Empires prison as well as a magicite processing facility. A naval base exists in the south for ferrying soldiers too and from Venteparia. With control of many of the Empire's technological assets, the Imperial Governer of Birkendernia believes they should be the next to lead the Emipre.
Ege. [Occupied Territory] Ege has been conquered by the Empire the longest, and its naval presence looms along temperate coastlines. A more populated territory, many of the citizens have accepted the Empire as the new normal and given up on resistance in favor of peace. Due to its considerable naval power, proximity to the homeland, and large population- the Governer of Ege believes they should be the next to lead the Empire.
Ocrythia. [Occupied Territory] What was once the economic capital of Tellah was seized by the Empire. The Empire's rule over the city and surrounding area has seen many technological marvels come to be. Much of the capital rests on the face of the northern mountain range separating it from Asvalagia, where tunnels used to go between the two countries that have since been collapsed by rebel forces. Ocrythia is a temperate land but gets a lower amount of precipitation than Venteparia to the west. It is known to experience high winds in the spring.
With Ocrythia being the largest Imperial Controlled City, the governor believes that it would serve best as the new seat of the Empire, and that they would be the most well suited for the job.

Garland Overview After the cataclysm, dominion of the continent was divided up amongst the three mages that had averted disaster by spiriting the populous away to another dimension for the duration of the upheaval. The world they returned to was bitter cold and devoid of life but these three dedicated the rest of their lives to helping rebuild. They forgot those traditions they disagreed with and preserved that which they found useful. The three countries would break into four before uniting under a single banner once more. This is the Empire. The Motherland Pohtinmaa. The Republic of Poh was founded by Enchanter Po Cain following the events of the Cataclysm. He believed in leadership through the will of the people and set in place a form of government where all citizens would have the right to vote for senators that would make decisions affecting them. This country flourished for nearly four hundred years when finally corruption began to creep in and political dynasties were established. The senators stood by as they were swept into the Empire, happy to bend the knee as long as they could keep a firm hold on their little piece of the pie.
Leivate. This country was founded by one of the three mages responsible for sparing the people of the continent from annihilation, Arcanist Levi Ackner. It's one of the warmest places on the planet with a somewhat temperate climate.
Mala. This frigid bay was once the southern edge of Leivate. Avitas' favorite son, Valens begged his father to step down and in response, Avitas cut off a small portion of the Leivate to offer his son as a peace offering on the son's wedding day. The son begrudgingly accepted the land, calling it Mala and allowing it to fall somewhat into disrepair.
Jorpiona. This kingdom grew from humble roots; an outpost founded by Jorian Gar after the Cataclysm that wiped out nearly all life on Gaia. It's people spent the first generation rebuilding their lives and scavenging the ruins of the old world. Advanced genetics labs were uncovered and salvaged to repopulate the planet with the various flora and fauna. Although, some samples were contaminated or broken. The scientists combined some animals with others to produce the results they so desperately needed. They were also able to salvage a great many automatons and through the aid of this servant class they were able to reach an industrial age.
The great grandson of Jorian, King Avitas Gar, took for himself the title of Emperor and dubbed the continent Garland. After conquering the barbarians of Baldesion, the continent to the North, he returned victorious with his army and rode into the senate chambers of the Republic of Poh to announce his rule. No one could stand against him. Avitas was obsessed with the prolonging of life through technology and his rule lasted for six hundred years before both his life and the rest of the imperial line were ended in the destruction of the palace just months before our story begins.
The Colonies
Marzia. [Occupied Territory] This desolate tundra was conquered by Avitas Gar nearly 600 years ago and troops remain to secure their foothold on the continent. The soldiers posted there faced little resistance from the locals who simply chose to integrate the newcomers into their sparse society. They had peaceful relations with the neighboring country, Homlian, until the influence of missionaries from the Church took hold.
