Plot

Ten years ago, the Garland Empire faced a shortage of magicite used to power its machines. They set their sights on Tellah, a continent made up of many independent states that still relied on knights and mages. With its unmatched naval power, the Empire quickly seized the southern coasts of Tellah. A bloody war ensued and the Centra region was captured and a foothold in the Westerlands was established. An alliance of rebels have congregated into an army to protect the independence of the Northlands and challenge the Empire's limited control in the Westerlands.

Last year, an Aeon emerged from a rift in Garland and laid waste to the capitol city. During the attack much of the infrastructure of the Empire was ruined, and the Emperor and his lineage were killed as well. The governors installed throughout the various states of Tellah have begun squabbling over who should lead the Empire, causing division amongst the ranks.
