A Time for Respite

Quintis is a harsh critic when it comes to most situations as he tears them apart and pieces them back together in every way, shape, and form possible. He wasn’t this bad before, but his time in the military has drove him far enough for him to show little to no care over, well, everything. Not very motivated, what little time he has outside of the force is usually done at his own leisure and for the most part will involve drinking or some sort of study. Thus, it would seem, that a strong driven force would be needed to remove him from his comfort zone. Though, a unique scholarly pursuit could easily spring him into action.

Most of Quintis friends are books, that’s for sure, mixed in with a dash or research papers. He can probably name you every single thing he’s ever read if it’s brought up. So, clearly, he lacks any true grounded relationships. This isn’t because he’d rather not have friends. He’s just kind of hard to get along with. He’s sarcastic, rudely honest, and excessively critical. And he absolutely loves getting a reaction out of people, usually going as far as teasing them or taunting them just for the sake of having some fun. As a friend, however– well– he’s about the same, not gonna lie. It is notable that he will he much more trusting: with his feelings, his work, everything. Quintis will also go out of his way to invite his friends out, seek their guidance, and even go on adventures with them willingly. He may complain here and there, but he’ll enjoy the company, nonetheless.

An enemy is something Quintis views as an actual oppositional force. It’s something or someone that threatens his life in some way, shape, or form. Otherwise, he doesn’t really view others as enemies. Though, if he’s annoyed long enough he might as well start considering it a crime against his mental well-being. He’s a man that can easily be frustrated by other’s social ineptitude towards him to the point of irritation. That being said, it seems he makes more enemies unknowingly than he considers them.

Having someone to call a partner isn’t something Quintis tends to consider often. Much less so when his work keeps him busy more than half of the time. If asked what he thinks, he’d probably wave it off as being too busy and not being interested. He’s had his few shares of flings but anything long lasting and stable has been nonexistent for most of his life. If it were to come to him liking someone, odds are it would be someone who sticks around enough for him to get to know them or someone that poses such a curious nature that he’s drawn in. Otherwise, it would easily turn into yet another meaningless deal. Quintis will probably stick around the person he likes, oblivious to the fact until he reaches the eventual conclusion. This is probably where he can get kind of blushy and sentimental over things, though he’d hate to show it.
